About

Equipped with a catalogue of sharp-wit observations, off-the-wall dance moves, and rib-tickling takes on local life that will liven any corporate events, private functions, anniversary dinners, birthday parties, and comedy nights.

Phoon Chi Ho is a Malaysian stand up comedian, actor and scriptwriter.

A product of Kuala Lumpur’s underground comedy scene, his big break came when local comedy wizard Douglas Lim took him (and another dude) under his wing to form the Malaysian Association of Chinese Comedians. Ever since then, his incursions into the world of comedy have seen him become one of the most sought-after comedians at corporate events and have allowed him to share the stage with comedy greats like Harith Iskander, Afdlin Shauki, Paul Ogata, Gina Yashere and many more.

Comedy also opened up different avenues for him. As an actor, Chi Ho held starring roles in numerous TV commercials, feature roles in two local sitcoms – Small Mission Enterprise and Cakap Melayulah, supporting roles in two big-budgeted musicals – Supermokh and Baik Punya Cilok, as well as a leading role in the local production of the world’s longest running play, Shear Madness Kuala Lumpur.

In 2016, and with the help of Google Translate, Chi Ho performed in Bahasa Malaysia for the very first time and was lucky enough to headline Astro Warna’s Komediri (ch132) – twice!

As a scriptwriter, he has penned scripts for two popular local sitcoms – Small Mission Enterprise and Oh My English!
